Free Survey, Fixed Written Quote

Tell us roughly what you are planning and we will come and look at it. No charge, no obligation, and nobody will ring you three times a week afterwards.

Or use the enquiry form below — it is the surest way to reach us. It works at any hour, it cannot be mis-spelled or lost to a spam filter, and you can attach photographs of the room. On a renovation job a couple of pictures tell us more than a page of description, and they mean the quote you get back is far closer to the final figure.

24/7 ENQUIRY FORM

How to reach us

The form is the surest route

Email addresses get misheard over the phone and messages disappear into spam filters at both ends. The enquiry form has neither problem — it reaches us at any hour, and you can attach photographs to it.

However you get in touch, the job itself is Sam’s. He carries out the survey, writes the quote and runs the work — so you are not handed between a salesperson, a scheduler and a site manager who have never spoken to each other.

What happens next

Three steps, no pressure

1

We get back to you

Same working day where we can, and by the next working day at the latest. Enquiries sent overnight or on a Sunday are answered when the line opens.

2

Sam comes and looks

A proper survey — measuring up, checking what is behind the walls and under the floor, and talking through the options. Free, and there is no sales pitch at the end of it.

3

You get a written quote

Itemised across every trade, with a start date and a realistic timescale. Fixed, so the number at the end is the number at the start.

Use the photo slots

There is room for three pictures on the form and they are worth the thirty seconds. A wide shot of the room, one of whatever is awkward about it, and one of the fuse board or the airing cupboard tells us more than a page of description.

Rough phone snaps are fine. Dimensions help too if you have them, and a rough timescale — but a sentence and a phone number is enough to get started.

Before you get in touch

Three things we don’t take on

Worth saying up front so nobody wastes an afternoon waiting for a quote that was never coming.

Anything structural

No extensions, loft or garage conversions, and nothing needing planning permission or a steel beam. We will happily fit a kitchen once a builder has formed the opening.

Boilers

Replacement, servicing and repair sit with firms who do nothing else. We work around a boiler, not on it.

Emergencies

We are not a 24-hour call-out service. If you have a burst or a serious leak, please ring an emergency plumber rather than waiting on us.

If your project involves any of those, get in touch anyway. We will tell you straight away and point you towards someone who can help.

Common questions

Getting in touch

Do you charge for a quote?

No. The survey and the written quote are free and carry no obligation, wherever you are in our area — there is no travel charge for the further towns either. If you decide not to go ahead, that is the end of it.

Can I visit you to look at samples?

We do not run a showroom — we come to you instead, which we think works better anyway. Samples get looked at in the room they are going into, under your own light, next to your own flooring and walls. A door that looks perfect under showroom spotlights can be a completely different colour in a north-facing kitchen.

How far ahead are you booking?

It varies with the time of year and the size of the job. We will give you a realistic date on the quote rather than an optimistic one, and if we cannot fit you in when you need it we will say so instead of taking a deposit and hoping. Small jobs sometimes wait a week or two for a slot in your area so we are not making a special trip.

I am a landlord with several properties

Say so when you enquire. Rental work is a different brief — durability over showpiece, and fitted inside the void between tenancies rather than across it. If you have a run of properties or a changeover window, give us the dates early and we will plan around them. EICR certificates too.

What will you do with my details?

Use them to answer your enquiry, and nothing else. We do not sell or pass on contact details, we do not add anyone to a mailing list without asking, and we will not chase you repeatedly if you go quiet. One follow-up at most, and then we leave you alone.
